Weaver's History
Daniel Weaver was a pioneer who at the end of the 19th Century started the first commercial Lebanon Bologna company
His guiding dream was to be able to enjoy the flavor of Lebanon Bologna throughout the year. With perseverance and many pounds of wasted bologna, he discovered the method of preservation which would stand the rigors of commercial distribution without spoilage.
From this first success Daniel went on to establish a water company for distribution to local community which eventually became part of the municipal system; and an ice plant to supply means of preservation for perishables during the hot summer months. He then organized a company to manufacture electricity which served many of the county villages and hamlets. A true pioneer with vision Daniel Weaver in 1918 went on to establish a bologna plant in California whish his youngest son Daniel Jr. managed. More than a century later his method, albeit refined, is still in use. The spirit of innovation and forward thinking with which he endowed the company has allowed it to prosper for more than 123 years.
